I need 600 watts ($200 max)

Hey guys, I have a friend with an L5. He needs an amp. He wants to buy either this legacy or pyramid amp and I finally talked him out of it. Is soundstream a good amp company? I found one that does 600 watts 4 ohm mono for $150 shipped. I want want your opinions on what he should buy before he goes out and buys that pyramid. Remember, $200 shipped is the max. JBL 600.1 would be a good choice. Tried and true.

the rms is 600 in the L5 but can it handle anymore rms than that? like 880 lol?
