im looking for 3000 watts. i dont know what is good. ive had a lot of amps, some good and some bad. my last 2 amps were the jl 500/1 and now the ed nine1 1200watts.the ed pushes more power than the jl but ive had some problems with it, never with the jl. i want this to be the last amp or amps i ever buy.one amp i was looking at was the Hifonics XX Colossus II 3200 watts at 2 ohm 1600x2 at 1 ohm. ive seen that amp for 760 shipped.i was also looking at sundown audio's SAZ-1500D $600 its 1500w at 1 ohm. i would rather spend $1200 than 750 if it was a better amp. the amp will be used for daily driving so i need a amp that can take a beating for a long period of time.my limit is $2000 for 3000 watts what is the best way to go.

the new autotek mean machine 3000.1,i own 4 thier tough and they put rated power and them some,i dont know what ohm load you need, but this amp does its power at 1 ohm, plus thier strappable.

they are plenty of good amps out there, icriminater audio, autotek, hifonics, kicker, memphis, digital designs, adassa audio,i could go on and on,but theres a few for you to research

You can get a pair of SAZ-1500D for less than the MSRP through most of my dealers by contacting them directly:

If you can get in touch with Ben from Low-Hz he will set you up even though his site is down, ben@low-hz.com is his e-mail addy.

You could also try Aaron at Sound Solutions as well:

A pair of SAZ-1500D will give you well over 3,000 watts @ 2 ohms strapped with 13.8 volts power supply. In fact... we've seen as much as 5,000 watts from a pair strapped @ 2 ohms at the great 12" challenge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And remember, if you want to move up in the future you can run one amp @ 0.5 ohms and a strapped pair @ 1 ohm with no problems for alot more power!

If you have any problems getting in touch with Ben or Aaron just let me know and I'll make sure you get taken care of if you decide to go with a pair of SAZ-1500D.

whell im looking to power 2 15 SI Mag D2. they recomend the sundown audio Saz1500d. to power 2 mags i would need 2 of the sundowm amps($1200 for the 2). i saw that the hifonics xx colossus could do 3200w at 2ohm and 1600 wx2 at 1($750). i know there is a lot of amps out there but what would be the best to power 2 mags. their rated at 1000w a piece but i want more clean power just in case. ther only amps i have really looked at are the hifonics and the sundown. i would rather spend more money now than later to power the subs cleanly with a $2000 limit what would be the best. i had some kicker sug. but i had some lower end kicker amps adn they cut out . just looking to be able to push subs cleanly thanks

If you like you can run the pair from a single SAZ-1500D @ 0.5 ohms. You will still carry full warranty coverage at this load and you would get over 2,000 watts RMS from that amp wired this way, meaning over 1,000 watts each. Although, two amps wired @ 1 ohm each produces in excess of 1700 watts into a 1 ohm load each, EASILY enough for your Mags.

You can talk to bigbassman about the latter configuration as he is running an SAZ-1500D on each of his Mag 12s in the Aveo at this time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The HiFonics is a pretty good amp, although I have seen a few "dud" stories here on caraudio.com about them. When they work properly they do good power, I have heard one in action and it did not dissapoint in output (I do hate the fan noise), although an e-bay HiFonics that breaks is basically a paper weight with no real warranty besides the 1-year provided by some of the big power sellers -- and I suspect that some of them have very sub-par warranty dealings. Since you have a very flexible budget I don't see any reason to skimp and buy a product without support if you don't have to.

Amen

the 1500D is a great amp, stays cool, havn't had a problem yet

and it's pretty **** good lookin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Would be an excellent choice.

yeah he could do one, run it at .5 ohm, and be fine.

That's what I plan on doing down the road //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
