personally I like the kenwood excelon.. very full with features and plenty of power behind it.

it seems like (from what people are suggesting)....I could go with a wide variety of amps. I heard MTX makes some of the best amps. Anyone heard anything to counter that or do most people agree?

My personal favorite brand of Amps are Eclipse. Very nice features there but they carry a heavy price tag at times.

Put simply;

Purchase the most power you can afford with your budget that has the features you need and is a quality built product.

Why on earth would you want to spend $180 for 60wx2, when the PPI I listed above has almost 4x the power for $20 more? Or the RF T3002 amp that's the same price (minus the free shipping) and has atleast 3x the power?

Go for the Gladius. You will not be dissapointed! I just tested mine on a nice SQ setup in a Honda running MB Quarts. Awesome sound. If you could spring for the extra $40 for the chipset upgrade, do it.

I agree with the PPI amp. Hell, I 'm almost about to pull the trigger and buy one. My wife would kill me though.
