ported generaly is louder. - but can be more of a headake to build properly to suit your subs perfect enclosure design and tuning.
sealed box is eazy to build. is less loud bass, but generaly is more musicly accurate.
with 2 subs - sealed will still be plenty loud. just make shure that all the seams of the box are caulked, to prevent air leaks, - sealed boxes that leak sound terrible.
I have re sx sub.
running off of hifonics bxi 1206d.
that amp is giving me a solid 1K rms watts.
I have had to upgrade electrical wires for it tho, as I also run 4 channel amp active.
my whole system is pulling 1800 watts now.
and I had severe voltage drops above 75% volume level.
the sub will take everything my amp has to throw at it and more.
im a little sad that I dont have more power to give the sub actually.
I know it will take 1500w rms power all day long.
and im only feeding sub 1K watts. - so i will eventually get bigger amp for it.
having more power than nessary is ok - as you can keep the gains turned down on amp.
but not having enough power - leaves disapointment.
