I have Brain Damage from Car Audio

he's right, the ear is much more sensitive around 1khz - we aren't very sensitive to low frequencies at all
as to the absurdity that the OP cited about ear nerve damage - that stuff has NOTHING to do with what you listed as your primary symptoms. Ear nerve damage would reduce / eliminate your hearing abilities, not make your hearing more sensitive.

damage to the auditory nerves does not cause anxiety or depression or face pain or any of that other stuff

Extensive inner ear damage can cause problems with equilibrium, but you listed numbness in the face and extraordinarily sensitive hearing - which is a total crock of crap.

The only reason I bother saying this is because some gullible people here actually got suckered into your ridiculous claims.

edit* it's entirely possible you have some sort of neurological problem, but it sure wasn't caused by a car stereo.
I pointed this out a bit as well. My advice to OP is to look into other causes for your symtoms, because they are going to continue. My bet is that car audio doesn't have much to do with a majority of your symtoms. You do sound mest up though, you're looking at the wrong cause. IMO

To piggy back on what AH has said. A few of you are getting a weeks vacation. From here on out anything that is not on a serious note will be deleted and you will also receive a vacation as well. Consider yourself warned.

Please don't take what I'm saying the wrong way I am very sorry you have to deal with all of those issues it must be hard. You have my deepest sympathies, you just might want to look into some other things including diet, diet has a lot to do with some of your issues. Just curious but do you know your BMI or at least your height/weight?

I have never heard of anything like this before. But I am open minded. My youngest son is very sensitive to loud noises. If I turn up my stereo to a comfortable listenting level for me and he is in the car. He covers his ears and begs me to turn it down. I am not deaf or even close. As a matter of fact my job requires an annual hearing test and i pass every year. So have I had any damage from blaring music? NO! The test proves that year in and year out. I am 38 Y/O so have plenty of time trying //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif But I would not say the OP is a liar. That is kind of like saying people that say they got HIV from having *** are lying because you have *** and do not have HIV. Just my 2cents

Damnit my home system sounds good.....better than my keyboard or a ticking clock. I'll joke about every bit of it except the Vertigo. If you've got bad episodes of Vertigo, your life blows harder than Tito's old lady. I get random vertigo trips, way worse than bad acid. "Hey look mom, I can lose my balance when I'm spread out on my hands and knees....and vomit at the same time....YAAAY"

Damnit it's hot in my room right now.

Hey OP, what about ear plugs? have you tried them? or sound blocking head phones (whatever they are called?) I was just wondering if maybe they would help reduce the pain so at least you could have a conversation with someone. Just a thought. But then again I am sure you have tried this.
