he's right, the ear is much more sensitive around 1khz - we aren't very sensitive to low frequencies at all
as to the absurdity that the OP cited about ear nerve damage - that stuff has NOTHING to do with what you listed as your primary symptoms. Ear nerve damage would reduce / eliminate your hearing abilities, not make your hearing more sensitive.
damage to the auditory nerves does not cause anxiety or depression or face pain or any of that other stuff
Extensive inner ear damage can cause problems with equilibrium, but you listed numbness in the face and extraordinarily sensitive hearing - which is a total crock of crap.
The only reason I bother saying this is because some gullible people here actually got suckered into your ridiculous claims.
edit* it's entirely possible you have some sort of neurological problem, but it sure wasn't caused by a car stereo.
