I have $20K in the bank , and I need to build a musclecar.......

I love my car, but a VTEC is by no means all that fast... peppy - yes, fast - not so much.Dad's 65 Fastback with 351 Cleveland > anything I've driven including VTAKKKKK
well duh haha i just love these kids talkin about their integras being so fast and 200 pounds of boost and blah blah blah and its like ok, well when you get ur integra/civic doing a 1.4 mi in 8.9 @ 151 come back and talk to us

I say do something more unique. Not sure what to suggest, lol but something unique. I am in the process of mildly modding an MR2 Turbo. I know you want V8 but thats just my project. I would either do a V8 swap into a decent car, or just build up a turbo 4/6 cylinder personally.
Oh by the way, I call bull shiit on your SSEI in that video running 12s. I would say high 13s or low 14s at best. My MR2 pulls better than that and is good for low 13s AT BEST.
You need to re read what I wrote. I never said it did 12s.

Nor could I get on it on the upper Rpms at 70+ due to 4* of kr and I don't really feel like chipping a piston

i earned my money from the military (youre welcome btw) this car is completely street legal and turns on a dime, never been on a trailer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif dont hate because your junker go kart wanna be mr2 is a pos. oh and sorry for the confusion, my keyboard doesnt always keep up with my fingers, although i bet you are the only one who couldnt figure out what i meant, sorry bub ill spell it out for the few retards on here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
btw....you can pull up ur pants now im done raping you.
Lmao, say all you want about my MR2. Like I said, I will take it over a piece of trash car that only goes fast in a straight line. I dont care if your car is street legal, I guarantee it would NOT handle ANYWHERE NEAR as good as my MR2. For that matter, my Mazda 3 would run laps around you in the bends also. There is more to having fun in cars than going fast in a straight line.

Wow, 1.4 miles in 8.9 seconds? That is impressive. Not really, because you are just a moron. Also, there are 4 cylinder cars that would walk your car on the drag strip. Dont try to act all high and mighty, pal, you are still nothing and have a worthless unitasking car. Also, are you telling me you were in the Military when you were a young kid/teenager? That is supposedly when you "built this car with your grandpa..."

Ive got plenty of compliments thank you very much.. Its not a beast by any means , nor did I say it was.. But its one thing in the "modification world " original... Who in their right mind would build a ssei? GTPs are faster, lighter and less prone to KR, but everone has done that.. Im not trying to build a 10-11 second car.. A 5000 lb bonneville that carries 5 ppl, and a trunk full of subs and groceries that runs 12s is impressive to me
American ricer? lmao

Looks to me like you did?

Comprehension isn't a strong point of yours is it? I said that's impressive to me. Meaning if I go that route.

Got it or should I slow it down some more.

Ok thats like me saying this:

I have a single 15 inch DC Level 4 with Level 5 coils. I was definitely not looking for 160s, but a single 15 inch sub that does mid 150s is impressive to me. Not sure where you learned English, but that is implying the aforementioned item(in this case my level 4) impresses me because it is in the mid 150s. There was nothing else to give evidence that I wasnt talking about my level 4.

Got it or should I slow it down some more?

Also, those things are boats, I wouldnt even try to make it fast. I know they are a little bit better platform motorwise than my old super coupe, but they have the same supercharger, which is pretty small. You will be upgrading about everything on that motor to even come close to 12s in that car. Like I said, go for something more uncommon. Maybe put a turbo/SC v6 into a Conquest/Starion or something. I have always liked the looks of those cars. Its totally up to you dude. I have 3500 into my MR2(including cost of car) and it is mostly stock running low-mid 13s. I could probably get into the high high 11s with about 3000 more in mods or so, but just dont have the cash at the moment.

One question I wanna ask(didnt read the whole thread..) what is fast to you and what are your goals(1/4 mile wise...) with this car you plan on building?

You shouldnt be asking people their opinions about stuff YOU have to live with, especially people on this forum. If you want a V8, get a Fox body Stang or camaro/firebird with an LS1. They are known, tried and true to get fast for fairly cheap. Thats MY opinion and what I would do, but its your money and your car, YOU DECIDE, dude.

Lol those cars run 10s - 11s. My buddies gtp runs 11.3. It's not hard to do. There's a vid of it on the site But will take up some money.

Your statement or reiteration was long. So I didn't read it all.

Bottom line. I never said my car ran 12s. But stated it would be original and would impress me

I don't want any specific 1/4 times. I just want something fast. Fun to drive and something that's not built so much to the point where ( if need be ) it takes away the reliability of a daily driver

how did this get so off topic me and reverse were arguing about chevy vs ford but at least muscle/v8 cars this nerd is gettin off on sum lil toyota piece??? guy wants POWER not wound up rubber bands dawg.......... but man just get like a fox stang or 2000-04 stang hell maybe even a early 2000 camaro and you will be happy from my experience you will be better with ford but to every man is his own right.

Well fast to you might be slow to others. That is why I was asking. If you modify any car to the point where it is making considerably more power, it will most likely take away from reliability...

I never told the OP to go out and buy an MR2, just told him what I own. I could have gotten a Fox body stang instead(actually considered it) but I would much rather have a car that is just as fast if not faster, more reliable(Come on, Toyota vs Ford? No contest...) better gas mileage, better handling, better looking, lighter, just as cheap to build, etc. Why dump so much money into american muscle to make a heavy car(talking about old cars, fox bodies are about the only "light" car that has been mentioned...) fast when you can buy a 4/6 cylinder lighter/cheaper car and build it for less?
