ahh there are a ton of them..
you CAN put a Cobra motor into any v6 mustang or GT.. the swap is easy but expensive. I see complete cobra powertrains going for 10-12k. this will come with your motor, *****, harness, and other odds and ends. but then again, you might as well lightning swap also. its the 5.4 with an eaton blower that could make an easy 500-600 for a little less money. the cobra motor could make a TON on some simple bolt-ons but it'll cost more. Also, if you can find a motor from a 98 cobra, it has the "teksid" block which is said to hold 1000hp so you can get one and boost it via turbos or blower and not worry about it. the cobra motor is often called the 4v (4 valves per cylinder) or the 32v (32 total valves). if youre reading about the 4v or 32v, then youre reading about a cobra motor basically, whether it comes from a mach or a lincoln or a police interceptor. look around for a cobra powertrain if you want to do some work. the cheapest and easiest thing to do, as stated here already, is to buy a pre-built car that you know is fast or maybe even has a good reputation around your area. There is a guy in houston that we call "Mustang Billy" and any car he sells is a MONSTER and everybody knows that it is maintained so everybody loves buying cars from him. look for locals like that.
sry cant help u with sites to look on around there but the 4.6's are really really easy to mod and the cobra is already supercharged and just as easy to upgrade just put an upgraded supercharger on it an boogie as long as u dont go completley over board it wont knock or run leanThanks for getting this back on topic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
So when you start adding boost in cars like this ( camaro, mustang , whatever ) with a supercharger is it kind of like my SSEi Where you need to add alot of supporting mods, to keep KR down?? Im running 11 psi in a bonneville that comes with 6 stock, with alot of supporting mods, but still see KR ( Knock retard )
Honestly , ( I dont know why ) But the Mustangs ( even stock ) sound awesome.. They are a little higher pitched , and rappy, but not TOO rappy.. If that makes any sense .. And I think it would be cheaper for me in the long run to go with a mustang.. But the things I need to know ( because Ive never really looked into modding one ) is that are certain engines better for modding , ( like with the LT-1, is not as great as a LS motor etc ??)
And Where is a good place for me to search online? Is there a website I can go to and just type in whatever car Im looking for and It will list all the ones within 500 miles etcetc ??
I post asking if you mean the older RX7's, or the newer ones, and you reply with 'no i mean real rx7s'. Do I even need to explain how that reply makes no sense? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifno i mean real rx7s
yeah... grab that 4v cobra and throw it in a 91-95 thunderbird. thats a beast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifLove it.. Love superchargers, and that year mustang.. My insurance would **** me on a Cobra.. Is there any way to put a cobra motor, or something similar to that in a v6 or GT?
you want a PI engine from an 03+ explorer iirc. those are the 2v 4.6l to start with. or the 4v from the mark viii or the cobraThanks for getting this back on topic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
