i got my btl installed today

and its extremely loud, at least to me...

i dont have pics yet it took me pretty much all day to install it, i couldnt find where to run the wire, and i couldnt get the box in by myself, so ill have pics and vids tomorrow.

but the one thing im suprised about is that im running my 20.1 around .6/.7 ohm, im gussing at least the btl is dual 1 and im running it in parrallel. but the only times my lights dim is when im idling, and even then its not that bad.

i like it alot, its plenty loud, but i did put in some shadows fall for some double bass, and it couldnt quite keep up with that, but on rap (which is really the only time ill be using the sub anyway) it was amazing. i need some good music though to really see what it can do, all i had was the radio, three 6 mafia- the most known unknowns, and the new ying yang twins cd, which i didnt listen to much but w/e song #4 is, it wanged pretty freaking hard.

i only have two pics from today, and they are only of the sub while its out of the box with wire connected.

i dont have any electrical upgrades right now, i will be getting a yellow top in a couple of weeks though.

you dont have any upgrades, and you only get dimming at idle? do you get alot? thats unusual when you running that amp, that low.

ya even when it was at idle it wasnt that bad, i had it turned up to 45(i think) out of w/e pioneer h/u are...and someone told me that the imp. is probably higher then i think, ive got it wired so that it should be .5 without imp rise, so i thought itd be like .6-.8, im not sure though.

his impedance is probably rising through the roof is my bet. We got 20.1s to blow 300amp ANLs...those bastards will pull some current.

and as far as impedance rise....no really way to lower it. You can through certain box designs. But its just a fact of caraudio...lol

and also remember. there is a double edge sword for not dimming...though it is good that you arent putting that large of a strain on the electrical system...but you also have to remember that it takes power to make power....

well i had problems keeping the speaker wires hooked up, so i took the box out and found that the magnet had pinned two of the wires up against the back of the port, aparantly i still didnt have enough clearence, and they were dam* near cut in half, so i was only running one coil to full potential, and even then it was loud as fuq, so tomorrow im going to redo the ground and fix the speaker wires.

i also picked up a dmm today, my amp was seeing 1.2 ohm, and the sub was reading .9
