I have four 6.5 openings in my van 2 in the dash and 2 in the back. Now I plan on gettin four CDT CL-6x's and running those off the HU and then get the CDT cl-61 and put those in the doors run off an amp. Is that a good idea?

no. you dont' really want to have that up front...especially when some are being run by the HU..1 amped set of components should make you happy.

take the money you save from not filling those spots in the dash and get nicer comps..
