EDIT: OK, I need you guys to start listing some lower end brands that are reliable. I can't sell just mid to top end, so what do you guys think for the lower end stuff. I need something for everyone that walks in the door.

Hi everyone! I am looking for some input from this community on what brands I should carry at my store in Austin, TX. I would like to see if anyone know the different brands available in Austin right now so I can sell different lines. The store will be opening the 3rd or 4th quarter of this year. Any input from you guys would be great, I want to get an idea of what everyone likes/wants. I plan on doing alot of research when I am back in the US in April and I will be going around to all the stores and "scouting" to see what everyone sells and what kind of installs they do. My goal is not to knock other stores out of business or anything, but to mve into the community and co-exist with everyone else. I know there is plenty of demand for car audio everywhere and plenty of customers to go around. I am not going to post the name of my shop yet as I don't want to violate any site rules, so mods if I am out of line, please let me know.

Thanks everyone!!

EDIT: Please keep in mind I'm not trying to carry everything I listed, this is basically a work in progress. I am very open to deleting and adding to the list. I am also sure that some of these prodcuts may be area protected and I won't have a choice but to not carry them. I plan to have around 5-6 product lines, this list is just to help me keep track of what people want. Thanks!

When you go to speak with representatives for the companies you are wanting to sell, you will learn that many of them, if you are authorized as a dealer, will not allow you to carry many of their competitors products.

Seriously though, I like the list, but you should prolly bring knu wiring into the deal and maybe street wires.

Are you planning on stocking different brands of 'speakers' than you are of 'subwoofers'? Keep your inventory as simple as possible while still maintaining the variety you need. Try to get a couple anchor brands like Pioneer than you can stock their heads, speakers, amps and subs. Branch out abit from there with specialty items/lines.

BTW, people who THINK they can tint windows are a dime a dozen. People who can ACTUALLY tint windows and do a good job are alot harder to find. So be sure you have something for them to "tint" as part of their interview. I'd suggest picking up a door from a local junk yard with a window and all moldings still intact.

I was aware of that, I hope I don't have to make a difficult decision between two brands!!

Good ideas, I'll add them to the origional post. Thanks!

i see some product conflics on the higher end lines.
but amazing list if ur able to pull them all off.

Mike-

I am hoping it's not impossible, I know it will take some work. I have a feeling that I am going to need to choose between Genesis and Sinfoni as well as DLS and ZAPCO.
