Humans have 100 years left.

killer part is i don't mind paying for good cause but this is the FuCkSes we are paying for. its a joke. I tried to file exempt and they STILL took out. i was pisssed.
i haven't paid one red cent for healthcare since that fucinging idiot made it a mandate. they took like 2% but my premiums Tripled for anything remotely decent.

i used to pay 130 a month for great coverage. now its 220 for 6500 dollar deductible.

im anti government anti political and im probably full of **** but im really hoping that these people just where going to **** us for a few years and not make hte mandate permanent. looks like the current administration might have gotten the go ahead to not **** us so hard
But you make "100k"....so you shouldn't be bitching about it.

Get a job with better benefits then.
I have a interview tomorrow. only thing i don't get a a vehicle allowance FOR now. till like 80-90k a year. once I become lead programmer its gonna be will into the 100k 9-5 at that. the 401k is UNMATCHED as well. they match up the the first 6% 100 % so that ruffly another 4800 a year so if you add it up i'm better off.

i wish i would have gone to school id be long making 100k but i chose to sell good stuff and party like a rock star. i don't regret it but my days are over..

only 6% unmatched? I get 20% unmatched, can decide how I distribute 40 hours during the work week (not to mention I can do some work from home), and they pay for any courses I decide to take. It sounds like you're getting screwed over...

There are several study's and expirements happening now to suggest that the speed of light is not constant.
https://www.google.com/amp/amp.livescience.com/29111-speed-of-light-not-constant.html
Grabbed this quote from the other thread, but figured I would go ahead and point out that this was essentially click bait. The speed of light is known to not be "constant" in all scenarios. Without getting too technical it's actually a reason why lenses and fiber optics works. The speed of light varies in different medium. That should have been reflected more in the article titles. They aren't arguing about if the max speed of light is constant. They are investigating the permittivity of free space or the "vacuum of space" and how it affects our measured constant.

BTW the deer thing is extremely creepy for some reason...

Thing is you are an EE. I'm just Joe blow no degree.

Its a good job for being in the south.

The other offer was 29.50 per hour full benefits with up to 6% plus 3 bucks per hour. He'll of a 401k but id rater invest my own monies. Its not hard to make 10k on the penny market.. lol

Of course you can choose where and how to distribute it. I'm just really picky when it comes to investing. I like having control so if they are going to match 120 a month I can live with that. We dont have union here so in that sense it ***** but yes I'm going to get paid to go to school as well.

you realize how much you pay in taxes? even after deductibles etc.. its still no less than 20k just for federal.about 4k for state..why should i have to pay 600 for the "gold" plan and its still not "gold"?
Oh wah. We all pay taxes weather a lot or a little. Depends what state/county your in. Google it someday to find out who pays the most taxes and least amount in diff states.

No longer an "electrician"? Programming what?

No longer an "electrician"? Programming what?
naw last few yeas I've been doing troubleshooting. dealing with control systems. Around here its almost all refineries.

An example.

valve operation is done with a "primary" and a "secondary" so to speak or Power and controls. the valve has a chamber that has a spring inside the chamber very much like a valve in an engine. It is fed by a air line. this air line has 80-120psi with a dampener inline(a small take to aid the fill of the valves chamber). now controlling that air flow is another valve that has a coil inside it. when that coil sees power it actuates.

that's the easy part. the hard part is what is this valve doing and what does it affect? thats where the programming comes in. one form of programming is called ladder logic. its a "ladder" of logic or more easily put a order of actions and functions that must happen for the system/systems to operate.

the programming part isn't terribly hard to understanding Its the logic or order of operations. for example in a diversion system you may have one valve that opens 50% and it needs to operate several other valves to divert a fluid or a gas safely to a reclaimer to be reused or maybe to a flair to be burned off. this is where measurement, flow etc become critical to proper function or possibly killing everyone within a mile. lol

What's really crazy is what happens when the optical density is lower than 1....

I had they question in school and the teacher didn't know so he emailed the physics teacher at mit and in short it can't hold any data going faster but it does go faster. Then said it was a full semester course

True. But what makes most people mad is seeing so much tax money come out for people to fraud the system. I don't mind paying my share but for some chick to pop out kids and do nothing for our society at all and buy crab legs at the store on her EBT card. I know beating a dead horse lol. I'm all down for people who truly need the help.
