HU with AUX input

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a unit with a mini-jack AUX input to plug in my MP3 player (it is a Creative so it doesnt work with all the ipod compatible units).

Do you have any recommendations of players around 150$ ?

I can get the JVC G-420 for about 125$. This seems to be a good deal.

Pyle also makes unit with both USB and AUX input but I don't know how they compare with JVC in terms of quality.

i hooked up a aux set up for my friend and his ipod, he didnt have subs or anything but it played out of all speakers connected to the head unit.... most pioneers have it to my knowledge, you can also pick up the y jack that converts to a stereo jack.

I connect my iRiver MP3 player through the AUX in connector on my Alpine and it works fine. Alpine makes an adapter to convert the AUX in connector on the headunit (its a DIN-style connector for trunk mounted CD changers) for into a set of RCA plugs, so I've got that and a Radio-Shack cable adapter that turns the RCA's into an 1/8" stereo plug. I just made a small hole in the center console pocket to pass the cable through:

I'm goingto try it, seems it will save me a bunch of scratch as those cd rb10's are like 30 bucksshipped and i know i can get that cable for under 10 bucks.

I plugged my iPod into the aux on my HU and it only plays out of my rear speakers... no sub or front speakers... anyone got a clue whats up with that?
make shure the mini plug going in to the ipod it in all the way.. same with the rca's

Nice setup. Do you know if a lot of HU have a background aux input ?

Can anyone recommend a good unit around 150$ with that kind of feature ?

Thanks.

Found out why i can hardly hear my mp3 player through the AUX input, the head unit has a sensitivity adjustment for the AUX and it was set on VERY LOW, what a freakin idiot. Now it sounds pretty darn good.

They are. But, after using sort of them, i think best way is to root phone and do some real system modifications with Viper.
