The Master at Work
I'm wrapping up an install job on a 95 Jimmy, putting in a Sony CDX-M8815 or something (not the one with the single control in the middle, but two on the sides with the display in the middle, which could very well be irrelavant), just put the dash back together and the HU isn't powering on.
Prior to putting the dash back on, the HU powered on and worked, at which point we continued with the job.
The fuse on the back on the HU is still good, and all the wires have solid connections (wire nuts). Since the dash is back on, it'll be a job to get to the wires and check them all out.
There IS one wire in question: a wire coming from the HU that doesn't have a mate coming from the harness; it's a remote ground. So do I tape it off, or wire it to the ground wire, or to a ground on the car, or what?
And if that's not the problem, any suggestions?
