hello,

im not %100 sure which wires do what and so i cant figure out how to get sound....

all i need to know is which wires have to be connected for me to get sound from the HU??

forget about dimmage control and that other stuff...

its an old alpine and it doesnt have a wire harness or tags on the wires .....

i get power but no sound.....not sure how to get sound...

it has front l&r rca's and rear l&r rca's....if sound comes from these, then how do i connect it to the speaker??.......

just so long as u can tell me what wires are required for sound,, then i will figure out the colors and the rest

Very Simple. All HU's have the same speaker output colors, most of them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Grey & White pairs GRY/GRY-BLK WHT/WHT-BLK Front

Green & Pink pairs GRN/GRN-BLK PNK/PNK-BLK Rear

Blue - Power ANT

Blue-White - Amp Remote

if the colors matched......then i would have know how to connect it....im installing an old school alpine into an old school car which has NO coloring wire at all....so i must figure it out...

but thx alot 4 ur help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do you want to know which wires in the car go to the speakers? If that's the case you'll either have to hit the library to find a wiring diagram or buy a Chilton/Haynes manual for the car. As for the HU, the RCAs are only for out put TO an amp. Are there any wires coming off of the HU other than the RCAs? If so, what color are they?

tried installdr.com......dont have the car model.thx though...

these are the wire colors.......

white w/ blue stripe = dimmer control

pink w/ white " =audio interrupt in

solid blue = power ant

black = ground

red = power

i have a : yellow, blue w/ a stripe, and brown w/ a stripe wires that i dont know what they are or what they do...

if this thing at least had a serial number.,.......that would help..

if i cant figure it out....tough shit....i aint gonna get all bent outta shape......if i can......thats a bonus..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thx gents

put a multimeter on the wires too find out which wires are constant, switch , and ground. then take the multimeter and check the wires that are left for continuity. this will tell you which 4 or 8 wires are the speakers(depending how many speakers are in the car. then take a 9 volt battery and touch one of those wires to one side of the battery and hold it too it. then take each of the remaining wires and touch it too the other side of the battery eventually when you find the right two wires you the speaker will pop (it wont blow the speaker.) do this again for the remaining wires. the speaker will move forward or backwards so reverse the wires on the positive or negative to find out which side is positve.

that'll work.....didnt think of using a multimeter........

just made it easy........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thx turbo
