HU Advice: P6000ub vs x001

So I'm faced with a decision either to buy a Pioneer DEH-6000ub for $160 or I can buy an Alpine ida-x001 for $200. Which one would you guys suggest, I'm mostly concerned with SQ. I was thinking of running an external Hard Drive to the units.

X100 with iPod will give you digital out of the iPod. This = better SQ and you are bypassing the internal DAC of the iPod.
