HT Sub question

My friend had me order him a 12" EQHS sub from ED and he wants to use it i his HT.

question is he wants to know how much clearence he needs from the floor to the sub for a down firing config?

he plans to go ported around 2 cubes @ 20 hz. he will be using a harmon kardon reciever giving the sub 140 ish watts.

I'd go with an inch, inch and a half...a set of spikes like what PE sells will work fine.

If i search on PE are they called spikes? or something else?

Speaker cabinet spikes...they're in the speaker building section, IIRC. $20 for a set of 4.
