i went sealed because i wanted tighter harder hitting bass, not just loud, my gains not set to my input voltage either, ive been keepin it easy on the subs, nevet bottomed out setting my gain

im not maxin out the subs, just impressed how hard they hit with that amp, idk how much abuse those subs can take, curious to find out. sealed for tighter harder hitting bass, not just loud

what i meant is my gain is set to about 3.5 ish volts vs my crappy 2v preout, ive got room to play, just dont know what my subs can handle

please do your research on enclosure design before you damage your equipment...

set gain with DMM to match rms of subs

ok buddy my box is built to specs per kicker, rms for 3 of them is 2250, brutus is rated (overrated) at 2000 rms, gain set a little low to avoid clipping/ distortion, head unit set to 20/35 volume

you admitted the brutus is overrated, im happy you know what you have now, and if your box is to spec then dont worry just make sure you dont clip to hard.

basically my underpowered subs in a sealed box hit almost 145, i didnt think that was bad for a cheap amp i just threw in there

no not at all, a kid i know with 2 rockford t1 12's and a power acoustik amp hit 144 or 146 cant remember, i do think it was 146 though in a ported box.

That thing is gonna smoke. My hifonics was protection happy at 10 ohm. Better change that asap. What meter was it??

yes a termlab on the dash, im impressed with the amp, ive had the old gold rf punches, some phoenix gold, and an alpine v12, and i dont think any of them would run at .33
