How you guys like American Bass amps?

My system build has been delayed a bit but in the meantime I'm planning out the last part of my system plans. I need to get 2 budget amps. 1 for a JBL 660C comp set that does between 100-150 x2 rms @ 2 ohms and a class D amp that does anywhere from 1000-1300 rms @ 1 or 2 ohms to power a pair of 12's ( most likely threatcon 2's or Obsidian 12's ).

Anyhow, I found some good deals on American Bass amps. The amp for the JBL comp set would be the SQ 900 ( 120X2 RMS @ 2 OHMS which the JBL comp set is 2 ohms ) and for the 12's the American Bass VFL Hybrid 2680.1D ( 1300X1 RMS @ 1OHM

Both amps together would cost me $354.98 shipped. Are these pretty good quality budget amps? I am looking at these, the PPI black ice series and earthquake T series amps. Thx for any input.

The American bass amps are great and that's a very good deal on them if your buying online they won't have the AB warranty tho. So be careful some places will say they are authorized dealers but they are not authorized to sell online only I am by the company and on the forums only Also the vfl 150.4 would be a better choice and just bridge the channels for your comps

The ppi amps are better. The vfl mono amps are great but there other amps are nothing speacial

Also the obsidians will sound good on 1000-1300 but they really shine on 900-1100 clean power apeice. I would imagine those threat cons are better on that kind of power aswell. just got my hands on a threat con 2 for testing. Talk to mylow s if u dead set on American bass amps. A nd trum pet has the deals on ppi amps.
