How would I wire this?

I have a Rockford 1000.2 which I believe is 2ohm stable stereo, and 4ohm stable mono. (The birth sheet says it been tested @ 1367 watts RMS @ 2ohm though, but the website etc... says it's only 4ohm stereo) So i don't know... I have 2 dual 2 ohm subs. How should I wire this so I get the full potential of the amp? The amp is 250x2@4ohms, 500x2@2ohms and 1000x1@4ohms.. I went to the JL tutorials and I'm still confused.. Ayone help me, that would be great... Thanks!!

If anyone can tell me that it is stable @ 2ohm mono then I know how to install it, but if it's only 4ohm mono (which most 2 channel amps are I believe) then how would I wire it?

That amp cant do 2 ohm mono. Options are

run them in stereo at 4 ohms, just use 1 sub

if it can handle 1000 watts, or wire both the coils and the speakers in series so that the amp sees 8ohms mono, and puts out 500watts. with high dampening.

2 dual 2ohm subs can be wired as follows, in parallel(.5ohms), in series/parallel(2ohms) or in series(8ohms). In order to use both subs with that amp you would wire them in series(8ohms). At 8 ohms the amp should put out 500watts.

wire each sub(dual 2 ohms) at series/parrallel and use one channel for each that way you have eah sub at 2 ohms and the sub at 500x2

This amp can for a limited time do a 2 ohm mono load, provided that the power / ground is up to snuff. It is a 2 ohm stereo stable amp and normally a 4 ohm mono stable amp. If you want to wail on the subs, then this is the wrong choice as it will most certainly send the amp into thermal protection under constant use. As the impedence goes down, the current draw increases and so does the heat signature of the amp.

Unless you are looking for an excuse to buy

a new amp, don't run it 2ohm mono.
