How to wire up subs

i am getting two dual voice coil subs 4 ohms each coil. how do i wire them to a 4 ohm amp bridged.

wire each sub in series for an 8 ohm load, then wire the two subs in parallel for a 4 ohm load

or

wire each sub in parallel for a 2 ohm load then wire the two subs in series for a 4 ohm load

My subs are also 4 ohms DVC's and connecting the voice coil in series and the subs in parallel is just more simple to do.
