How to tell your alternators' output?

Okay, so I installed the new alternator today supposedly a 200a, but how do I tell the difference between it and my stock alt. They both weigh about the same and have the exact same housing. I looked at the display on my H/U and at IDLE it displays 13.8-14.0v with the new alt in. My old alt would show 13.6-13.8 at IDLE.................Any info would be appreciated.

Well, the easiest way to do it... but not always reliable... is

AutoZone or Advance AutoParts. I say it's not always reliable because sometimes the employee is an r-tard and doesn't conduct the test properly.
