How to ship many odd shaped pieces?

Quick question- i need to ship about 15 assemblies (think a recone without the cone on it(pretty much a coil and spider)). Obviously they are odd shaped, and fragile... Any ideas how to pack them for shipment, short of putting each in their own box?

Fi shipped my recone in a box with a piece of hard foam at the bottom of it. In the piece of hard foam was a piece of 3" pvc. Around the pvc was my recone. I would assume you could do the same thing with multiple pieces of foam and pvc or one piece of foam with multiple cut outs for the pvc holders.

I can get a pic tonight if you need it. Let me know

i would like the pic for sure, but remember- their is like 15 of them i need to ship...

Holy crap...I guess you could stack them in 2 layers with 2 pieces of hard foam...

Just get a real strong box. Fi uses a really thick box and it was perfect. I suppose you could crate them too but it may be overkill

Just curious why do you have 15 voicecoil assemblies

actually- they are getting shipped to me, along with ALOT of other parts (about enough parts for 25-30 subs, w/baskets, and glues) also- the box would have to be HUGE as each voicecoil has 10" spiders on them, with spider spacers, so the spiders wont bend...

hmm. And the people selling you all these don't know how to ship them?

I'd suggest shipping in different boxes the coils from the baskets and glue simply due to the shear amount of stuff.

I will get a pic of my box tonight that I got to show you what I mean

i appriciate the pic- but about "the people" it is 1 person, a.k.a.- a private transaction... the gentleman generally does not sell parts, so he would not have had to ship them before, especially in this quantity... all the raw coils, raw spiders, baskets, etc. are packaged already...

Hate to say thins but I think that it's going to have to be several boxes. I don't think you could get more than 8 in one box. At least since it isn' heavy, you won't have to worry about the shipper dropping it and the weight of the contents destroying the packaging and the contents.
