How to set up mids

I am going to get q logic kick pannels and they only allow 5.25" speakers in my car.

I have a JL 300/4 so I was thinking, I could do a comp set with the kicks, and then put a good 6.5" mid bass driver in the door.

Now,,,, would I lowpass the mid bass driver in the door, or high pass it at a lower point?

both, so it'll be bandpassed

I don't get it?

How do you do both?

I am using amp crossovers and amp crossovers only. Are what you suggesting requires the use of an external xover?

Then if your amp crossover can not do bandpass, adding a dedicated midbass driver is a bad idea.

If you can't do it right, don't do it at all.

I forget, what is bandpass? i did a searcha and got nothing.

Bandpass = highpass and lowpass on the same driver.

Your amp would need to be able to highpass and lowpass the same channel at the same time.
