How to Set bxi-2006d Lower?

Currently, I'm running a Dual 4ohm L7 @ 2ohms. The 2006d is rated at 1300wrms @ 2ohms and I only want to send ~800wrms @ 2ohms. Is this possible to do by setting the gains low and carefully?

Would it be

(800wrms x 2ohms)^(1/2)? So I could set my gains to that voltage?

but, yes, the equation you posted looks correct. it should be 40V for 800W @ 2ohms.

I knew it, I just wanted second opinion. Posting getting "flamed" is better than not knowing and blowing $160.
