how to isntall kill switch quick q

got a toggle swtich. it has three connections on it..

12 v, ground and acc

12 volt goes to battery

ground to ground

and acc to remote wire?

correct or wrong? just want to make sure before i make any connections final.

If your using it as a kill switch why not wire it inline with the remote wire so its Normally Closed and then when you throw the switch to the open switch it interrupts the 12V signal that triggers the amps, there turning them off.

The remote wire shouldnt have major amp draw so you can wire it inline, much more amperage then that and you should wire it with a relay.

the 12v comes from your decks amp turn on wire....you gnd the gnd wire .....and the acc goes to the amp turn on....I hope this helps

so that means the kill switch splits the remote wire?

i thought the kill switch needed a constant 12 volt power source?

its fairly simple install but im confused now.

if i do this id shut off both my amps (full range/mono) i just want the kill switch for one of the amps not both.

the only way to make this work is to run two seperate remote wires....one for the highs amp...and one for the bass amp

yeah i already did that

. i split my "main remote" into two.

one for speakers

one for subs.

so now what? i tap into my sub remote wire, right?

one end of remote into the 12 volt plug on the kill switch and another on the acc?
