Hey guys, I just bought a new JL 12w7-3 from a friend who bought this but due to familiy emergancy's had to sell it ASAP. Anyways, since this sub didnt come with any manual or I even couldnt find one on JL's website. I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how to mount this thing into my enclosure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

As you can tell the cone for this sub is huge and covers the whole top and you dont see any holes from the top to mount into.

There are 2 rings holding the cone down snug, but you cannot detach it completely.

You can lift it a little and feel the holes for mounthing. There are 12 total holes.

So since the holes can only be viewed from the bottom, how do you mount this sub the right way (non inverted)? Please anyone who has this or the 13w7 please let me know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wallbash.gif.1310150c49dd52e0fbe1813a0681e5c3.gif It seems silly that I am not able to bolt this thing to the enclosure.

you're kidding right? This is on JLs website. You just screw through the surround //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

no, you lift up the surrond and drill through the holes then clip the surround back on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

apparently my patience is zero when searching around for sh*t on sites. My theory is usually, if google cant find it, i shouldn't even bother.....

I tried doing what the guide says and thought I was gona rip the cone off or something, anyways thx for the direct link disturbedfuel15

take the large ring off, then the ring that is attached to the surround will come up next. underneath that is the mounting ring. it's not as hard as it looks. lol. also try not to use anything to pry the ring up ive seen to many poeple come back with hole's in the surround because they slipped. good luck
