How to get my parents to like subs

why can't you simply be gratful for what you were given. You wanting to improve it shows your parents how much of a spoiled kid you've become. Put some honest to goodness thought into that, and if you still think you need them to buy you a system, then kill yourself.
Jesus, I bet I won't own a 25000$ rig for well over 5-6yrs from now, being 21 now.

I was planning on buying the system... and I offered to pay some on the truck...

obviously you aren't getting the point.

Any money other then what you need to live off of, which won't be much living at home, and very very little entertainment money, should go straight to mom and dad til you get established enough to do something super for them. Recieving free car does more harm then good.

If I owned it I would, but if I do talk them into it, they want me to go to a professional place so I can get a warranty and everything.... unless you work at an audio shop??

You are most likely right, but that is also probably the type of family you came from...am I right? And, at 16 or 17 yrs. old, do you seriously think I would be mature enough to deny their helping me by buying a vehicle for me?

Even though I don't compete, I told them it was for cometitions. They haven't given me crap about it since then. Even though it is my car and my stereo bought with all my money, they still had a problem with it.

More then a few of our opinions is to leave it be and be gratful. Last thing we need is another douche in a riced out car they didn't pay for clogging the road.

so you're telling me that when your kids are old enough to drive and you had the disposable income to buy them a nice car that won't break down on them and be reliable and safe that you wouldn't? I'm sorry but I would give whatever I can to my children.
