How to get my parents to like subs

Just get a nice 10" or 12" with a nice amp and box. Make sure it has really good sq. Then be like mom, dad can you come out and listen to this please. Go out take one of their cds let be country or w/e they like. Play it without the sub, then play it with, then play it without again. All the same track and make sure its not super loud just moderate. They should be like "O I can see why you want one now I understand blah blah blah." I wouldn't do that jl system. $1400 for 2 subs in a lil enclousure. I would just get something small that needs a small box and protect it and then you can put it under your seat or put in the back and you can still have pretty much all of your area just minus around 12"'s or so. Good luck

yea easily, it won't look as nice with the bed liner JL puts on theres but they essentially just took all the measurements back there and built a box, anyone can do that. You could get the box sprayed afterwards but box carpet would look just as good.

Not really an option champ...why would I go spend $20,000 on a vehicle alone when they will just buy me one?

Will that be much louder than my stock sub though? I am not sure what is in it, but if I do just get a little 10" or 12," it would have to be a lower series to put under my seat I think... Will there be much difference?

I am 100% with jim. Using parents as a bank, or even having them buy it and make every single cent even with them is OK in my book.

Them buying as a gift and you paying 50-75% anyways to show how much you appreciate it is OK in my book

why would ANYONE do that? If someone gives you something, with minor rules...why would you pay them out the *** just for a system.

Ya if you spend a little bit of money it should be alot better. You just have a stock sub in your truck. Just get something that people have mentioned in the previous posts.. If you do have to convince your parents either borrow somebodys sub or just unplug the sub in your truck and compare that way. Or have them come with you to a car audio shop and play some music with and without the bass in it. Idk just try different things.

why can't you simply be gratful for what you were given. You wanting to improve it shows your parents how much of a spoiled kid you've become. Put some honest to goodness thought into that, and if you still think you need them to buy you a system, then kill yourself.

Jesus, I bet I won't own a 25000$ rig for well over 5-6yrs from now, being 21 now.
