i have 3 cubes per chamber in my box and i want to tune it to 30hz, isnt there a program out there that can let me enter my LxWxH and what i want it tuned to and spit me out something? whether it be cylindrical or rectanlge shaped?

it would be really easy to do with

(((14630000*(D/2)*(D/2)) / ( Fb*Fb*Vb*1728)) - (1463*(D/2)))

but i lost my gwbasic and i dont know how to calculate round and squares ...

well.....

WinISD is used to get port tuning lengths and such. But theres alot more work into getting the right tuning length cuz u have to figure out the port displacement. Not easy. JMAC knows this **** really well and he designed mine for me.

Not only that, but you need to account for the displacement of the subwoofer itself - which would obviously be different if you mounted the sub normally, vs inverted (magnet out)..

You need to account for any bracing that's going to be inside the box, etc.

It really is as simple as LxWxH, it's just that minus sub displacement, minus port displacement, minus any other stuff that's going to be taking up space inside the box.

Programs really can't do that for you, because they don't know how you are going to be constructing the box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

What the programs can do is tell you how many cu.ft. you need, and what port options you have given the tuning frequency you've picked.

As far as how you build the box, what you decide to make the port out of, what dimensions the port will have, how you'll brace it, etc... that's all up to you.

Consider it "freedom".

Seriously though, it's very simple. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Dayton would be a really nice choice as well as the SQL. I would look at a R. Sounds sub too https://www.resilientsounds.com/product-page/gold-15...

For a sub that small.. Id like to see an 8 or 6.5 @ around 55-70 htz usually sound pretty nice and clean on approx 40-100 rms @ 4 ohms. 8 ohms I...
