How To Correctly Hook Up This MTX Sub

The box is the vented mtx thunder box that came with the sub
Im going to claim laziness here by not looking up the specs of the box/system. You wont hurt your equipment by playing with the lpf, and the best setting is based on many things. Again, just play with the settings until you find what sounds best to you.

As for the hpf, unless the box is tuned very high, a hpf of 20hz should work fine. If you run into issues with over excursion of the woofer, adjust the hpf higher (unlikely).

Wow...haven't seen you post on here like...forever!
Good to be back.

Would setting it my sub at 2 ohm to one channel have a higher rms than the 8 ohm bridged/mono?
8 ohms bridged means each channel shares the load, 4 ohms to each channel. So it is the same as 4 ohms stereo. 2 ohms from one channel doubles that channel's output, but only one channel is playing, so the over all output is the same as 4 ohms stereo. So like I said above, all these wiring configurations will yield the same amplifier output. But the 2 ohms from one channel will halve your amplifier's dampening factor, which is why I dont recommend that wiring config.
