How to build a slurpee machine

i remember when i was really little i used to make icees using my moms old salad shooter (to crush/shave the ice), and then you could make the syrup out of whatever beverage or kool aid mix you wanted, by adding sugar to make it into a thick syrup.

dont know if that helps or not, might be more effective/useful in a home environment than an actual tumbler icee machine.

Seth, how much? I was actually looking for a nice ice blender the other day (pretty cheap alternative) but I don't know how close it'll get to the "slurpee" texture. Considering we don't have 7/11 here and probably never will I've never had a "slurpee" but I've had slush puppies and all that shit which is probably the same thing.
I'd love to have one to make some special drinks with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
slush puppies > all other frozen drinks.

dont argue that, its proven fact.

**** i had to go down to the 7-11 around the corner to get one just reading all this talk... and to whoever said the slush puppy owns all other frozen drinks... i would have to agree... I wish there were the old fashoned slush puppy machienes still where you got to pour your own flavors on... those were awesome... i dont know if the younger people will know what im talking about but anyone who has gotten to do that knows that those were the best...
