How should I run my subs?

I have a Rockford 200 watt 4 channel amp and 2 MTX 200watt RMS,4ohm dual voice coil 10 inch subs. I am going to run the amp 3 channels, 2 channels to my door speakers and 1 bridged channel to my subs. My question is, should I run just one of the subs or both subs in series?

Either bridge the rear two channels and wire them like this:

Or wire each sub to one channel like this:

But, what are the specific model #'s of your equipment? You sure that amp has enough power to properly power the subs??

Subs model# RT1044

Amp model# 200.4

All I am looking for is something to start off with and then get a better amp later to power the subs. I just want to know which would be better... one sub or two?
