Friends Rockford amp may be shorting the fuse?

What model number on the amp, What speakers is he using, What ohm configuration, How big of a power wire, and What fuse size...
Model number is 100a 2

10in Rockford Fosgate the punch. The older modeland probably the cheapest

4 ohm mono

8 gauge

we went from a two blown 25 amp fuzes to a 30 amp blown fuse. Meaning they all blew.

It's a 100 watt system rms.

Hmm as long as you don't have the gain over half up it should not be doing that. That amp will produce around 125-175 watts on 13.8v. You can try a 40-50 amp fuse and still be safe. If it blows the 40 you will need to get the amp serviced.

Thanks trigger. It's just weird that my amp was fine and it's rated at 120w rms and it's oldschool. I'll try a biggger fuse. Also he ran that amp since '99 and the fuse finally blew. He'll have to have it serviced then.
