My very first setup was a removable kenwood tape deck, fed to a 1/2 DIN Kenwood EQ, 2X Punch45HD, 1X Punch150HD, Infinity 5.25 and 6X9 coaxs, and then 2X 12" MTX Blue Thunder subs in a monstrous ported enclosure. Not the silver blue thunders either. These were the paper pulp blue cones.

I bet that set-up sounded great, knowing the true power output of the RF vintage old school amps with SPL & SQ!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It could have been better with a good set of components instead of Coax, but it was definitely **** nice for a first setup. I had a local shop called Accutek in Crown Point, IN do it. They did great work.

1884 (first vehicle)- Realistic FM stereo adapter for my AM radio in my Silverado.

1985 (second vehicle) - Apline cassette head unit, Craig 5 channel EQ with 50w boost, Jensen 6x9

........I've learned a lot since then.

yup my MEI was a pull-out. had a handle right on it and you pulled the whole **** thing out

WoW you just brought mew back for a sec, I ran one of those for a bit prior to moving up to a Concord. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My first system was a Panasonic pullout CD player, an Orion Cobalt CO230 amp (first year they were out) a JL 10W1 (that I still have that works perfectly) Orion XTR5 mids and XTR1S tweets. Everything was run passively off the Cobalt in a 3 channel bridged/stereo setup. I wish I had pics of the front speaker install. It was invisible.

I have around the house right now 3 Orion 225HCCAs & 1 2100HCCA a PG Son of Frank-amp-n-stein, a Route 66 a MPS-2240, a pair of US Amps USA-25s and a USA-100. I also have 3 original JL 10W6s NIB, an a/d/s S6.2i 6" plate subwoofer a Kenwood cassette deck that had the original retractable faceplate and a couple other early to mid 90's pieces of gear.

Hmm...wow...first equip that I can recall a brand name on (not counting the radioshack pretty-lights eq/amplifier gimmick that I had) was a coustic tape deck, a coustic 360 amp and a pair of the ollllld kickers wtih the word "kicker" in gold printed on the dust cap. uhm...hell if I know what my mids were, I was a young punk in highschool, I think I mighta had like one 5 1/4 hooked up to the radio outs or something gay like that. Really ghetto for sure. All in a 1976 chevy nova...out of all of that all I wish I still had was the car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
