I have a rockford fosgate sp-108 from 1990 or so. I guess thats considered old school.
You want to part with it so I can have a set of 4?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

My old School collection consists of

1 Punch 40 & 1 Punch 100 from around 1982 with slider EQs

1 Punch 150 from about 1986 (Pre HD style heat sink)

1 Punch 45

1 Punch 150 rebadged to 150hd

1 punch 45hd

1 Punch 75hd

1 Fosgate POWER 360 Bipolar (only other one known outside Fosgates own collection)

1 POWER 100hd ( I have own 3 of these)

1 POWER 300

3 Punch 10's (SP-108's)

2 Punch Audiophile 10's RFA-108

And I just parted with my ESX (Zed Audio) collection with 2 Q604's, 1 Q1204, 1 Q1752, and a Q752.

I also have 4 Kicker S8A's (second series of Solobaric round subs)

and 2 S10C's (3rd series of the round Solobarics with Single 2 ohm voice coils)

I just re-surrounded (replaced the foam surrounds) on a pair of M&M 15s the other day! Had completely forgotten about them until that! Clear-cone poly drivers. Only real drawback, is that they didn't have much voice coil length (Xmax) compared to stuff like Kicker C-15s, MTX Terminators and the like...
Regards,

Gordon.

First setup was a Sony pullout CD player with a Fosgate series1 12" (grey cone) and an LA Sound Malibu 100. Added a JBL GT50 on a set of Altec Lansing TW1 tweeters and Altec 5" mids later. I've still got the LA Sound and the sub. Amp works, sub is locked up. I've got a Rockford Audiophile 10", some old Power series 5 1/4"s, punch twins 3 1/2"s, heatsink from a punch200ix, punch link, and endcaps. I've prob got more stuff that is worthless, except for nostalgia, but I really don't feel like going through everything. First wall setup in a car was a Kenwood KAC-1021 with four Hifonics Olympian Warrior 15"s.

My first pair of subwoofers

hey man this is OT but i noticed you have your system in an integra just like me.. do u have your component speakers in the stock locations of the vehicle (like in the picture below)? if so, how do u have your tweeters angled? what do u think about the imaging? im asking because im not really content with the imaging i get from the stock locations.. just wondering if a fellow audiophile/integra owner might have some good info i could put to use:)

I'd like to find a set of *servodrive* subs from circa '93-ish I guess. They were around the time of the Coustic DR reference line. (not made by coustic, just a reference).

I'd also like to find an original black Coustic "brick" like the one I had in 1990. It was taller than it was wide with HUGE heat sink fins and a coustic logo on the side. I wanna say the model number was something to the effect of A80 or something like that.

1884 (first vehicle)- Realistic FM stereo adapter for my AM radio in my Silverado.

Either we have a winner or it was a typo with a entire century! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Old School in the 90's I don't think so. You have to go back farther than that. How about the Alpine 7307 component cassette deck with the 3011 mini equalizer and matching 3001 digital time delay unit coupled to a pair of the 3002 amplifiers circa late 70's with two pair of the JBL T545 6x9 3-ways now that is old school. About the same time the Fosgate PR-2100, long before Rockford even came into the picture. Cerwin Vega HED 6x9's (CS-15's & CS-18's) with 6lb magnets nothing like the foreign made crap that they are peddling these days.

Back then all the manufacturers had proprietary interconnects, no RCA's you could not mix and match unless you were prepared to cut off some DIN ends and modify. Pioneer had a nice offering of Component systems with a mongo DIN plug. Craig actually had a nice 4-channel amp with a 4 band parametric equalizer.

Subwoofers were not even in use at this point and no one had a proper front stage as all the sound came typically from the speakers in the rear deck.

There was a time when a Clarion 100-EQB 5 band equalizer 15W x 2 and a pair of Jensen triaxials was some of the best stuff that you could get. Most people on this forum were probably nothing but a twinkle in their daddy's eye when this was going on. Circa mid to late 70's.

I guess I run somewhat of an old school system myself by today's standards but most of the prominent companies that were making the premium stuff in the mid 90's have gone out of business or been bought out and are selling garbage.
