When I started in car audio I was about 14-15. I'm now 30 and still am very much into it. I thought I had grown out of it but theres still is so much intrest there. Im a car lover and I guess the two go hand and hand. I even made automotive repair my career. My house has a pretty good sound system in it. Im going to build a old school set up for my truck soon.
So how old is everyone? Is this for the younger people? I miss the SPL contest! I dont know If this has been as already been asked but here it is. Am I too old for this? I remember running around with a sticker on my car in the 90's that said "IF ITS TOO LOUD YOUR TOO OLD"

26 here. Been into car audio since I was 16. I grew up with older friends who had systems in their cars and I always knew I had to have my own set up when I got my first car. I saved up and got everything put in and have been into car audio since. Car audio now is more of an addiction haha. I don't think I could ever lose interest in it.

25 in a couple days had a system since i was 17. keep getting louder and smaller in larger vehicles started with 8 12's in a extra cab truck down to 2 15 then a single 18 switched to a full sized sedan and a pair of 10's now i just got an suv time for 150 and musical

I was 16 years old when I got into the game (now I'm 38). My first car was a 72' VW Bug, we built a custom one seat box in the back of the bug that housed 2 12" Bumpers (yeah, I know..) that were on each side of the seat area angled back right under each side window. (kinda like a big u shaped box) The head-unit was a tape deck that had an auto rewind/fast-forward that would stop at each song (the hit back then). I can't even remember the amp I was running, but it did well for it's time. The bug would literally slam and the person that had to sit back there would just get whacked in each ear with the 12's. The good ole' days of playing some good 2 live crew, LOL...
