alright sounds good than. basically the same amp. will see about how the electrical holds up. i found a kinetik 1800 for sale localy i may pick that up just in case.my bro had the bxi 2006d with the two R's runnin at 1 ohm on his stock electrical in his neon jus fine. he had dimming but it wasnt horrid
they move A LOT. we played tones at full tilt another time, all the way down to 20hz and swore they were gonna blow right then and there. They were moving about as much as my HD3's on 2kw eachthanks for the vids. ya it looked loud. the subs were really moving. cant wait to hook mine up!
ya that sounds like most of us are thinking 7-800 is good for 12s. you running 1k to each of your 15s in your new build?Running 15's, they liked right around 1krms. Really got them moving. a 15" Type-R can handle 1500RMS daily no problems, but with my personal experiences, they start to sound like *** after 1100+RMS.
As for 12's, i've had the best luck with around 700-800rms. Again, they can take more, but will start sounding like shit.
you were probably clipping the hell out of it...in which case you werent sending it 750w.34 Hz
Idk what kind of type R's you guys are running, but everytime I pushed over 750 RMS on a 12" it would go, and for the 15" 1200 RMS +
The only way to run a 1500+ RMS on a 12" is to drop bottom on the gains, which really doesn't mean you're just looking to upgrade in the future.
Hell I could hook up a 8" rockford fosgate HE sub (150 rms) to my 1000 PDX, and if I set the gains to dead low, it won't blow, but will I really be pushing over 1K rms to it?
Hell no!
And I wouldn't go around saying it did.
yes sirya that sounds like most of us are thinking 7-800 is good for 12s. you running 1k to each of your 15s in your new build?
whats it rated at 4 ohm? 1500?you were probably clipping the hell out of it...in which case you werent sending it 750w.
15" type r, kx2500.1 @ 4 ohms, gains set with a dmm using a -6db 50hz test tone (when most only use 0db)....works beautifully.
should be nice.yes sir
rated at 2500 @ 2, and 1500 @ 4. birthsheet says 2.96kw @ 2 so i guess it could be more at 4 ohms...but how honest that is, who knows. could be all marketing...whats it rated at 4 ohm? 1500?
should be nice.
ya that kicker amp is at least putting out 1500. shit why not get 1 more and run them at two ohm?rated at 2500 @ 2, and 1500 @ 4. birthsheet says 2.96kw @ 2 so i guess it could be more at 4 ohms...but how honest that is, who knows. could be all marketing...
gains set to 1500 @ 4 though, is what its sitting at //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
thats exactly the reason for purchasing a dual 2 in the first place.ya that kicker amp is at least putting out 1500. shit why not get 1 more and run them at two ohm?
ya i figured that you did not buy the 2500 to run it at 4 ohm.thats exactly the reason for purchasing a dual 2 in the first place.
either next paycheck or that one after that, ill get another one, and build another box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
yea. i actually rebought this kx from the guy i originally sold it to. its powered quite a few subs in its life time lol.ya i figured that you did not buy the 2500 to run it at 4 ohm.
