In a ported box I would say the sweetspot is 750- 900 rms. In a sealed box, you could go for between 800-1000 rms with smart gains.

ya, if i did it this way would i have to seal off the rest of the trunk from the cabin or would it be fine with some space left around the box not all sealed?
No, your trunk is bigger then my civic's. you should have ample room for random stuff. Just stuffing your trunk with a big box, isn't going to make person louder. It really just chokes off the box (trunk) from the cabin.

ya ill play around with how the box is facing and see what happens.

bring this back to say that i got my amp installed and set DMM to 1600 watts. so far so good and gets pertty loud!

What would be louder vr1000d @ 1ohm or two mrp 500's strapped @ 2ohms their d4's by the way? I would go bigger but Idt my 100a alt could handle more than 1k. Thanks for any input
