how much power did you run to your type R?

I am not the only who who believes this, granted the amps I'm talking about is under rated power

like running a kicker zx750.1 to an ARGH

But honestly I would never put more then 750 rms on a 12" R for daily use and over 1250 RMS on a 15"

Whatever works for you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ill be fine with what I know works. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i had my pc2350 (1400 rms) hooked to 2 cerwin vega 8's (250 rms) and they did fine. i had that same amp hooked to 2 type R's, and 1400 was plenty for the 2 of them. just because you have a 2000 watt amp, that doesn't mean the subs are seeing 2000 watts, assuming you have the gains set correctly. having head room with regards to power is never a bad thing. i always like to have an amp that does over the subs rated rms.

These threads always turn into this debate every time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
lol i should of know it would turn to this. but hey i wanted to see what people had to say so this is good.

ya, thats why i bought the 2000 watt RMS hifonics, not the 1600 RMS one. figure ill have some head room and dont have to push the amp as hard. plus it was only 50 bucks more for the 2008d.

heres some pics of my subs in the new box, thanks to themommyvan! thinking about painting it, mabye that fleckstone.

haha yea it was on a 10" too. we burped it for about 7 seconds, we had 2 ia 40.1's on each coil. in a crx with a ported box it did 153.6 before it blew.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

the box was 5cf net tuned to 30hz via RE box calculator, so it might vary slightly, (it was a build for a buddy). power was from a SPL 5500D (supposedly 3200rms @ 1, but i would say more like 2800ish)
oh well im not going to run that much power lol. hopefully ill be happy with the output with 1500 RMS on the pair.
