How much extra amperage can you expect to achieve by getting the alternator rewound?

Just to make sure you know the cubic inch isn't what makes a small block a small block or a big block a big block, their are differences in design. So a 351 can be either a small or a big, im just saying the cleveland gets a lot of arguments of what it actually should be considered.
Thanks for the lesson. 351 is a small block.

again a not because its cubic inches, your statement is false because a 351 can be either. like you can buy 454 SMALL BLOCKS from motown.. so your statement "351 is a small block" really is untrue. many 351's happen to be small blocks.

WTF are you going on about? The 351 Cleveland is a small block. Quit trying to look smart.

And to get more technical, back when it was first produced, manufacturers actually used the cubic inches to identify if it was small block or big block, but by the mid late 80's that was scratched. Anyways to get more technical the BLOCK of the 351 cleveland is a BIG BLOCK, but since the cubic inches when it was made was too small to be considered a big block, it was called from factory a small block, but just to make life easier. its really a small/big block. look it up smart ***

Quit trying to flex your e-penis. Nobody in the alternator thread gives a **** how much you know about engines. Shut the **** up already and quit cluttering the thread.

I wanted to prove my point was i was told i was trying to look smart and i was wrong, because i was right. Shush im sure your how old? and you telling me to shut the **** up is doing what for you? making you feel better? its ok

You have gone off the deep end now. All i did was mention I run underdrive on my bigblocks, and you turn this into a debate over 351 Clevelands. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I did look it up, smart ***. The 351 Cleveland is part of the Ford 335 series, a SMALLBLOCK line of engines.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/351_Cleveland

"Only the Q-code 351 "Cobra Jet" (1971-1974), R-code "Boss" 351 (1971), and R-code 351 "HO" (1972) versions have 4-bolt mains although all 335 series engines (351C/351M/400) have space for them even in 2-bolt main form."

"The Ford 335 engine family were a group of small-block V8 engines built by the Ford Motor Company between 1970 and 1982. The series was nicknamed Cleveland after the Cleveland, Ohio engine plant in which most were cast."

You brought this on yourself. Yes, you are being nothing but arguementative on complete non-issues, in an attempt to look smart. Well guess what, it back fired.

Furthermore, Im quite confident your 'buddies' laugh at you behind your back after you try to convince them your 351 is a 'bigblock'. Joke's on you smart guy.

Okay, the 351 cleveland is a BIG BLOCK with small block displacement. Go to a reputable source, not wikipedia. It is a small big block. Small block displacement at the time. Big block because The blocks design is actually a big block.

You sir, are an idiot, and this is the last post I will clutter this thread up with on while discussing lame-*** ford engines.
The 351 Cleveland is part of the 335 block series. This series is a small block line, as defined above. You demand a better source, yet you provide none. You say Im defining based on cubic inches, when I am not, and I know better (I own a chevy 348 BIGBLOCK dumbass). The best case you would find for your arguement would be a source stating the Cleveland is 'in a class of its own' (between small and bigblock).

But in the end, it doesn't matter. 351's are crap, i wouldn't own one, and nobody in this thread cares. You are a tard, acting like a tard. Shut up and stop arguinig points nobody has ever made.

I never said it was a BIG BLOCK. I said the Block is the BIG BLOCK design, with at the time was considered Small block displacement. QUIT IT IM RIGHT YOUR WRONG jesus.. I have rebuild my cleveland 7 times.

and i agree 351's are crap, im just preserving what was in the 41's pantera ever made. I think the small block chevy 350 is by far the best engine for the money to build and work on.. the 302 is nice as well but not like the 350.
