not very many. ur car a lone uses normally 50 to 80 amps so thats not leavin u very much for subs.

Yes it is...plenty of people on here run stock alternators. I'm running 1800 off an 80 amp, + a kinetik hc600 in the trunk and I drop to 12.5.

Mathematically, you wouldn't be able to run very many...but you really just need to try it, everyone's results vary.

How can you start off saying yes its enough, and finish by saying everyone's results vary?

Listening habits + car usage factor into this, and we have no way of knowing either. As for how much your car uses, it depends if you have your headlights on, the heater, AC, etc. How long these things are on, and how often, also factor in. There is no easy answer to this question.

yea that is true. just hook it up and see what happends. but if ur runnin multiple batts u need the alt to back it up.

and ya there's a formula but i cant remember what it is.

I'm running 800 off full stock no problem. Soon to be running 1100 only planning on doing the big 3

that should be fine with the big 3 i think.

i heard some where its like if u r runnin a true 1500 watts u'd need to upgrade ur alt an big 3 but that might be wrong idk.

So without the system on and AC/heat off, would it be using closer to the full 95 amps to run the car or not? Like, if i am only using 20 amps out of the 95 without the system on, then that tells me there is quiet a bit of power to feed the system. If i am using 50-80 like one of the posters above said, then i barely have any power left to power the system. I would be much happier to know that i am barely getting any power to my system without a HO alt because i am buying one soon hoping it will make a HUGE difference.

Ya I hear the base line is around 1500 watts on normal stock alt. I would say about 100 amp alt would be what it's based off. If you do the big 3 I would say it's safe to run a good 1400 watts off of stock electrical. I'll find out when I get my new sub

it can't be on mine because just running 1,000 to a sub i go down around 11 volts on the amp. That is terrible. And i cannot run the air in my car when i have the subs playing loud at all.
