How many watts is my electrical system good for?

Assuming the amp is about average on efficeiny and is running at 2 ohms. Ive got a (stock) 130 amp alt, 1/0 wiring, and stock battery. What if i did the big 3? Or replaced the stock battery with a yellowtop?

Ive got 1400watts and stock alt. with no big 3. I get slight dimming and a very small voltage drop....but only with heavy bass songs like jeezy that I dont listen too much anyways

i was told not sure if its right or not buy take yur alt amps and times by 13.8 so 130x13.8=1794

Your correct BUT he also needs to take into account his car needs wattage to.

So stock alt amps x 13.8= A.

Subtract A from 1794 and that will give you the watts available for extra items.
