How many watts RMS should i run for the 6.5's and the 6x9's i have. There polk audio 100watts RMS and 300watts max. Would you run 100watts RMS for each speaker or is that alot of power for the mids and highs?

100x4 is not unusual at all.

Having plenty of power doesn't mean you have to use it all the time, but it will be there when you feel the need.

I have 180 rms x 2 on my components. I listen to AM radio more often than loud music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I agree, That you can never have too much power. my components are getting about 350 watts a ch.I would buy the biggest amp your budget allows.
my sub is rated at 1200w RMS should I throw 10k to it? my Quarts are rated at 170 RMS should I guve them 1k Each? Not a great statment there.

#1 If you know what you are doing you can run alot more power than you need.

#2 lets not blow the things I say out of proportion

I never said to throw 1000 watts on your front stage. I was simply stating that headroom is good thing.
