How many watts can I run on a 100a alt w/ 0awg

I just bought a 200a powermaster HO alternator on ebay for 175 shipped. Its 130a at idle and 200a at 1200+ rpm This should handle up to 3000w safley right? Any opinions on powermaster alternators?

Their competition series are good. But the regular Powermaster Ho alt i had was a let down. it was rated at 200A and maxed out at 172A clamped. And SUKED below 1000RPM. Maybe yours will be better. I pawned mine off on EbAy too, lol.

Thats sucs... How would I test mine?

It's supposed to come with a birth sheet. If it doesn't put out what they claim then I'm a be pissed.

i can vouch for the dsc1500.1 being a beast, im running on on my single 12 and im doing 140.7 db drag rules at 40hz box is tuned to 37

you will need at least a extra battery with that amp. my alt is 115 and i had voltage drop before i added another battery. yes i did the big 3 also. yes it is a very good amp.

Did it get hot when it got volt hungry? You got 2 12" d4 type R's right?
