How many "ways"

In the front of my car, I have two 4'', and in the back, I have some 5 1/2 or 6.5s, im not sure which. But those are gonna change. Anyways, my question is I want an amp to power the front two, so how many speakers should be on the speaker. I was thinking like a 2 way in the front and a 3 way in the back (back will probably turn ato a 6x9.

This is what in the hell im trying to talk about

See, main speaker, tweeter, and i guess another tweeter? Now im wondering if i should get more little speakers with the big one, or not?
Nope, only one tweeter and one woofer is best (a 2-way). Those other tweeters ("supertweeters") are a marketting gimmick, they hurt the sound more than helping it. Coaxials simply dont have complez enough crossovers to be able to add that many drivers, and even if they did, "supertweeters" wouldnt help...

So round is better then oval? and i plan on getting bigger in the back. but no 6x9 or 6x8. You think that a 6.5 would be better, why, if you dont mind sayin.
A round cone is generally a better reproducer of sound due to equal stresses on all areas of the cone. BUT!, when you are talking mid-level coaxial speakers, its not going to matter, a 6.5 round wont sound better than a 6x9.

a coaxil speaker is when the tweeter and the woofer are in one. That speaker you linked from crutchfield is a coaxil. Coaxils are different than component sets, when the tweeter and woofer are seperate, usually coming with an outer crossover to block certain frequencies. Well i would do a little more digging in what speaker you get and try checking ebay for good prices. Youll do fine with the one you linked though.

Well, i wasnt even looking at that one, lol. That was an example. I was thinking of something like this..

6.5

or

6x9

But should I keep the same brand all the way around, because i was thinking of something like these for 4''s

Although, these are insane for the price

and the front two, or back two, that undecided, but the front or back powered off something similiar to this.

try to keep the same brand and model all the way around, it'll help tonally. The kappas you linked are pretty good. I heard a set installed a few weeks back, nice.
