How many ohms

If I had two DVC subs that have an impedance of 2 or 8 Ohms, how many Ohms does the amp need to put out? The whole Ohm thing always confused me.

Okay, that makes sens. So I should look for an amp that puts out 1 or 4ohms.

Go for one that puts out the power you need a 1 ohm. It should would out cheaper, at least from my experiences.
