No problem, man.Thanks for the reply!I will be running them passive for now and would the Zapco DC350.2 reference be a good amp to run the componentS?
Its 2ch 170watts @ 2 ohms but with 4 ohms its only 100 watts?
Correct, you should be fine with giving those 180w a side, especially clean power from a Zapco amp like the one you referenced. You can always tune it by ear, and if you find that you're hearing a little distortion at 180w, then you can always just adjust the gain down a little bit on the amp, and you should be fine.Would giving them 180 watts a side (their maximum rating) be overkill or not a safe thing to do with the components?For reference I am looking at the DC360.4 amp from Zapco, when bridged, at 4ohms produces 180 watts each for 2 channels.
I would be running the maximum rated watts for the speakers,
but as long as everything was not completely out of tune when playing real loud, this shouldn't lead me to any problems, correct?
