How many of you run 2 alt's..

I have the option to add a 250 amp alt on my already 220amp 383 stroker before i put it in my 66 Chevy... would it be helpful for my car audio system,. I plan on using this truck to build one massive car audio system. So i was going to put 2 yellow tops under the hood. one for each alt, and have 1/0 gauge coming from each. I was going to put the 250 amp alternator 1/0 gauge to my sub amp while splitting the 220 into 4 gauge and run that to my component amps. Sound like a good idea? If anyone has any help that would be much appreciated.

Might be a litte bit of overkill.....how much power will you be running? Of course, its always good to have head room just incase you want to upgrade.

well i was going to go with massive audio. P3000 and a DMX 15". i can get it for down here, cause my friends buddy sells it. he said he can work me out a pretty **** good deal but as you all know things change easily

I am trying to get someone to fabricate a bracket for dual alts on my car. I only want to for competiting purposes. Can't think of any other reason.

use an external regulator on the second one is what I may have to do.

i couldnt figure it out... so i got my dad to do it. 30 minutes later and a trip to autozone and it was D-O-N-E
