lol, na, i had to secure the powersupply to a car battery to test it out, but the battery was so drained that it wont hold a charge (more than 5v) anymore. so i scrapped that.

but its all good. bumps quite nice, i cant wait till i try it with 500w!

i know this is an old thread, but i have (7) Coustic Design Reference AMP-510DR amplifiers, (1) Coustic Design Reference AMP-514DR amplifier, (2) Coustic Desgin Reference DX-328 crossovers, a Coustic Design Reference DA/55 Digitial to Analog converter, a Kenwood KDC-x911 cd player. might be the makings of a good system ...

Lets see, I have in my closet an old version Audio Control EQX, 3 Pioneer GM-H50's 3 Pioneer GM-H100's and Pioneer GM-H200. Been thinking about installing an oldschool system in my 91 mustang, just havent decided yet! But I would love to find another GM-H200 though!

Great amps, RF's bring them back for a limited time only, www.RockfordFosgate.com
Yes and they promise to be WAY over priced as well......Now as far as old school do any of you remember the Kenwood KRC-999 and 999II cass. headunits with the slide out drawer that hid the eq controls....I had the 999II when I was a Soph. in college and later traded it for a car...(a 76' Lancia Beta Coupe, one cool little car) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

word I had the MTX blue thunder subs as well (back in the early 90's they were the shizzle!) and had them powered by this:

circa 91'

back then you could actually say Hifonics in the same breath as RF (back when they were something special), precision power(back when they were something special), ADS (back when they were something special), linear power(back when they existed) or phoenix gold (back when they were something special) and not get a smurk or laugh. **** thing still works flawless and sounds great 14 years later!

The resurgence of the "old school" post got me to thinking.....Just how many of you guys out there still actually owns and uses any old equipment. Please list what you have........heres mine...
I still have a PPI DCX-1000 digital x-over that I'm planning on using in my next big system. I'd like to find another one at a reasonable price as well as the RCM-1000 which was the wired remote for the DCX, so if any of you are will to part with one pm me o.k........ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif By the way I've check e-bay and there's nothing out there yet......

New to the site, just bought a DCX-1000 off ebay, there are a few more there as well, in white, I got one in black....also have a PAR-225... I hate the new head units with all the sub menu's, I like the knob, more bass turn here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
